Day 1

Arrival at Sofia Airport. Transfer airport-hotel. Check-in. Dinner. Overnight.

Day 2

Sightseeing Sofia – The Bulgarian capital Breakfast. Walking tour of the central city area with all the top tourist attractions, including the ruins of the ancient city of Serdika, the square in front of the Presidency, The National Art Gallery, The National Theater -Ivan Vazov. Visit to the Central Mineral Baths, currently Museum for the History of Sofia. Visit to the Archaeological Museum and the Alexander Nevski Cathedral. Stroll on the beautiful Vitosha Blvd. - the central pedestrian street with numerous cafes and shops, ending up at the National Palace of Culture. Free time for coffee and lunch. In the afternoon, visit to the Museum of Socialist Art. Dinner. Overnight.

Day 3 

Veliko Tarnovo – the old capital of Bulgaria Breakfast. Departure for Veliko Tarnovo. Tаrnovo was the capital of the medieval Bulgaria state and today is considered one of the most picturesque towns in Bulgaria. Located in the meander turns of Yantra river, the town features remains of the medieval fortifications, churches and a palace, museums, galleries and craftsmen pavilions. Visit to the historic fortress Tsarevets, the Patriarchal Church, and the Tower of Emperor Baldwin. Free time for lunch. A guided walk along the old shopping street - "Samovodska Charshia". Dinner. Overnight.

Day 4

Ethnographic Complex Etar & National Memorial Park Shipka Breakfast. Departure for The Architectural and Ethnographic Complex Etar - the first of its kind open-air museum in Bulgaria, which illustrates and recreates the Bulgarian architecture, lifestyle, culture, and craftsmanship from the 19th century. Free time for lunch and shopping. Departure for the town of Shipka and visit of the Shipka Memorial complex, dedicated to Bulgarian liberation from the Ottoman Empire in 1878. Departure for Kazanluk. Accommodation in a hotel. Dinner. Overnight.

Day 5

Kazanluk Rose Festival Breakfast. Departure for Kazanluk for the Annual Rose Festival. Participation in the morning rose-picking ritual and subsequent celebrations in the city. Free time for lunch. Visit to the Historical Museum and the famous Kazanluk Tomb. Departure to the village of Skobelevo. Visit of the Damaskin Ethnographic Complex – a family-owned rose distillery with over 20 years of production history. Our hosts will demonstrate traditional Bulgarian rose oil production. Departure for Kazanluk. Dinner. Overnight.

Day 6

Sightseeing Plovdiv Breakfast. Departure to Plovdiv – one of the oldest cities in Europe. Visit to all the famous historical monuments in town, including the Roman Stadium, the ancient theatre and the Djumaya Mosque. Exploring the architecture of the charming Old Town and enjoying the splendid panoramic views from the Three Hills. Free time for lunch. Departure to Sofia. Hotel accommodation. Dinner. Overnight.

Day 7

Rila Monastery & Bulgarian Yoghurt Breakfast. Departure for the spectacular Rila Monastery, founded in the 10th century and included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Free time for lunch. Visit to the Zemeneia Dairy, degustation of traditional Bulgarian dairy products and introduction to the production process. Departure to Sofia. Hotel accommodation. Dinner. Overnight.

Day 8

Back to Sofia. Nature & Culinary experience Breakfast. Visit to the Boyana Church – a unique monument, dating back to the 10th century and included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Free time for lunch and shopping. Gala dinner in a traditional Bulgarian restaurant (mehana) with local wine tasting and unique folklore program. Overnight.

Day 9 

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for departure.
